Lex Puffer was raised in Roy and educated in Weber School District. He has taught, coached, and served in administrative positions in Weber School District for over 35 years. He began his education career as a teacher at T.H. Bell Jr. High School where he taught Social Studies. He moved on to Bonneville High School where he taught Spanish, Social Studies, and Mathematics. He was later appointed as assistant principal at his alma mater, Roy High School. He then served as principal at South Jr. High School before being appointed as the district’s Supervisor of Secondary Education and later as the Executive Director of Secondary Education. His most recent assignment was serving as Assistant Superintendent of Weber School District. Mr. Puffer received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish, Physical Education and Coaching from Utah State University where he graduated magna cum laude. He received his Master of Education Degree from the combined Utah State University / Weber State University program and his Administrative / Supervisory Endorsement from Utah State University. Mr. Puffer has served on multiple school, district, and state committees and has provided leadership as a school and district administrator for over 25 years. He has been a member of several professional organizations throughout his career.
